I have had an interesting couple of days. I got a message from Google/Gmail stating that someone was attempting to "break into" my Blogs...imagine that..........AnyWHO.....

Since 30 January 2007 alot of good fortunes have come my way:
I got invited to be the KeyNote speaker at the upcoming IBLN conference (March 30-31st)in Fort Wayne Indiana (WOW!)

My fellow Diversity Residents from Purdue University have all confirmed they are coming to ND in July to talk to our summer program students about Librarianship (Yoo-Who!)

A visit of "new Librarian" colleagues (I met in Seattle..they are all Indiana Academic Librarians)have all agreed to meet me at ND for tour, meet & greet, and lunch at ND. I am most grateful for Laura Bayard & Nigel Butterwick for their support in this effort. In May of '06, I met some dynamic librarians at Purdue and the call was sent out to build relationships with our academic colleagues, and this gathering is one such way to do this. I am so excited!

My "Mobile Librarian" role is off and running beginning February 13th! I am most fortunate to work for a dynamic/supportive leadership in Sherri Jones and Cheri Smith. I have temporary use of a laptop (Sherri & Diane Kennedy are ordering me one to use for my work!), I have my posters, and other library materials to market the library.

Jessica Kayongo and I have designed yet another PR advertisement for the campus newspaper that rocks! Again, thanks to Sherri Jones for her leadership/support on this.

Dean Page & Dr. Pierce have given me space to be the "taking it on the road" librarian on ND's campus. I am grateful and humbled by the support of my academic colleagues outside of librarianship. I will not let you down.

My literature review is almost done and ready to send to my Colleague in Colorado! Yes! My first Scholarly Publication is an actual book. (Woo-Hoo!)

I am living my Dream and its an awesome and blessed experience! I have to pinch myself to make sure I am really awake for "my cup runneth over" experience here at Notre Dame!
